Event set to return to Matane from June 13 to 15.
GASPÉ, February 2, 2023 – After a 3-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Quebec Wind Energy Conference organized by Nergica is back! This must-attend annual industry gathering is scheduled to take place from June 13 to 15, 2023 at the Riôtel Matane.
As it gears up for its 14th edition, the event is rebranding under a new name and an expanded mission that reflect the profound changes and accelerated growth that the industry is currently undergoing. In this context, the Quebec Wind Energy Conference is now the Quebec Renewable Energy Conference. This new catchall identity is testimony to the various renewable energy sectors simultaneously striving to accelerate Quebec’s energy transition and boost energy security.
“The industry is going through a vibrant period marked by sharp increases in energy needs and the recent announcement by the Quebec government to add 4,000 MW of wind power to the Hydro-Québec grid by 2030. The Quebec Renewable Energy Conference is the perfect occasion for businesses to gather and join forces to better overcome the challenges of rising energy demand.” – Frédéric Côté, General manager, Nergica
Since it was first conceived by Nergica in 2006, the Conference has been bringing together players of the Quebec industry in an effort to drive development and innovation in the sector. Interactive training workshops, expert panels and industrial visits are thus proposed to the hundreds of participants who are busy networking at every opportunity.
The event’s official program, which promises not to disappoint, will be released in early spring.
