Our raison d'être
Accelerate the development and adoption of renewable energies
Accelerating the integration of renewable energies in communities
Through applied research, technical assistance and support, Nergica is helping to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and enhance the energy security of communities, particularly in remote areas. This impact is reflected in structuring projects such as the optimization of wind and solar systems adapted to northern climates.
Supporting municipalities and organizations in their energy transition
In partnership with the Fédération québécoise des municipalités, Nergica supports municipalities in planning, analyzing and deploying renewable energy projects, to help them make informed decisions and achieve their energy transition.
Reducing emissions and transforming energy systems in remote areas
In the Magdalen Islands, Nunavik and other isolated regions, Nergica is developing wind, solar and hybrid solutions to reduce dependence on oil-fired power plants. These projects make a tangible contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and combating climate change.
Stimulating technological innovation through unique research infrastructures
With its state-of-the-art equipment, Nergica offers a unique environment for testing, adapting and optimizing renewable energy technologies in cold climates. This capacity for innovation supports companies, accelerates the development of high-performance solutions and strengthens Canadian expertise in microgrids, distributed generation and operations optimization.
