Access to financing is an essential lever for bringing your renewable energy innovation projects to fruition. Our team can help you identify the programs best suited to your needs, structure your applications and maximize your chances of obtaining financial support. We'll help you prepare your applications, write your arguments, plan your budget and submit them to the appropriate organizations.

Call for projects

Applied Research and Development (ARD) program

Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC)

These grants are designed to provide Canadian-based companies with access to the expertise, knowledge and capabilities of Canadian colleges. RDA grants can support applied research and development projects conducted jointly by the Nergica team (Cégep de la Gaspésie et des îles) and its partners.

Funding can cover up to 80% of eligible project costs.

NSERC evaluation deadline

For projects under $40,000: 5 to 6 weeks
For projects between $40,000 and $150,000: 3 to 5 months

Calls for projects with other organizations

Are you a Canadian SME looking to innovate and solve operational or technical challenges? Various sources of financing are available to help you develop innovative technologies.

With a bank of subsidized hours, you can :

  • benefit from specialized knowledge and expertise;
  • access to research equipment;
  • validate technologies;
  • break into new markets.

As a renewable energy research center recognized by the National Research Council Canada (NRC) and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), Nergica has access to provincial and federal research funds.

Thanks to these programs, Nergica has carried out 20 h to 40 h mandates for some thirty SMEs like yours, at virtually no cost.

By starting with a small, low-risk project, we are sometimes able to continue our research in larger projects.

Additional funding can be sought for projects of 300 to 2,000 research hours per year (i.e. between $25,000 and $150,000 per year).
