The CCTT Energy Squad, a consortium of college-based technology transfer centers, submitted a brief as part of the consultation process for the development of the Quebec government’s Electrification and Climate Change Plan. The Escouade énergie proposes 34 recommendations regarding electrification, land use planning, bioenergy, financing, and technological and social innovation.

Highlights

• The CCTT Energy Squad is a consortium of 14 college-based technology transfer centers (CCTTs) that has been active since 2018 and was established to provide a joint range of energy-related services.
• The Task Force recommends that Quebec develop an ambitious electrification plan tailored to each sector (transportation, industry, commerce, and institutions).
• It also recommends that Quebec take advantage of its natural resources by focusing not only on its hydroelectric facilities, but also on how they complement
  wind and solar photovoltaic power, and by maintaining an ambitious strategy to harness this potential and increase the supply of green energy both here and beyond our borders.
