The Wind Energy TechnoCenter is pleased to announce the installation and commissioning of a solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant at its research site in Gaspé. Thanks to this new infrastructure, consisting of 60 PV panels, the Wind Energy TechnoCenter will enhance its work in the field of solar energy.

Highlights

• Installation and commissioning of a 16-kW solar photovoltaic system and four solar panels on the roof of one of the buildings at the research site
• Research infrastructure available to the renewable energy industry
• Study of the Energy Performance of Solar Panels in Cold Climates and the Operational Performance of Wind/Solar PV/Diesel Generator Hybrids in Microgrids
