In this webinar, Nergica, in collaboration with OPAL-RT, presented its work to validate the contribution of an energy storage system to reduce diesel consumption in a microgrid, using OPAL-RT's real-time simulation platform. Several topics were covered, including the benefits of microgrids, the integration of renewable energies to replace diesel and thus reduce greenhouse gas emissions, energy autonomy and reliability, and a few scenarios based on operating data from the Nergica research site were also presented.
