Le projet

The Opten research program aims to develop or validate innovative solutions for optimizing the integration of renewable energies into microgrids. It is based on an avant-garde vision of bringing together a group of multidisciplinary researchers and full-scale research infrastructures to meet the innovation needs of a network of industrial partners.

Opten also aims to maximize spin-offs for teaching and training, and ensure knowledge transfer. It is part of the Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles and Nergica's strategic research plan.

Highlights

The Opten program stands out for the richness of its research ecosystem and the scope of its spin-offs. Here are the highlights.

  • Twelve research partners and a network of multidisciplinary researchers across Canada.

  • Some ten college teachers and interns are involved in the Opten research program every year.

  • Unique research infrastructures available to researchers and industrial partners.
