Optimizing wind resource assessment in the preconstruction phase

The project aims to improve the quality of resource assessment (wind, frost, wind energy) in the preconstruction phase. To this end, Nergica is modeling the climate for several decades to characterize wind and icing in terms of their averages and variabilities.

The use of the GPEO icing model, developed by Nergica, enables more accurate icing characterization than is possible with current industry models. By generating more complete climatic analyses and a more reliable characterization of the wind resource, this project represents a major step forward.
