Solar photovoltaics and cold climates: a winning combination

Solar photovoltaics (PV) is the fastest-growing renewable energy source in the world in recent years.

Despite a 50% increase in installed capacity and a steadily decreasing price per PV module, the use of solar PV in Canada remains marginal, partly because of the prejudices surrounding its integration and efficiency in cold climates. Yet cold climates offer many advantages for solar PV.

As a leader in the integration of renewable energies, Nergica took advantage of this webinar to provide an update and highlight the potential of solar PV for Canadian communities, and more specifically for isolated and northern sites.

This webinar was produced as part of the Opten research program.
