This webinar is the eighth in a series of twelve initiated by the Ministère de l'Économie, de l'Innovation et de l'Énergie, and focuses on wind power technology.
MEIE's Julie Poulin talks to Frédéric Côté, General Manager of Nergica, and Denis Lapalme, expert analyst in research and innovation at Nergica, to explain the basics of how wind power works.
Together, they analyze how wind turbines work, their main components and different models, while tracing the evolution of the technology. They also address the question of wind farms, presenting their structure, the different types that exist and, above all, the important role of wind farms in Quebec's energy mix.
