The Renewable Energy Conference focuses on structured networking: activities, cocktail receptions, networking breaks, and the B2B2GO matchmaking platform, which allows participants to view each other’s profiles, exchange information, and schedule business meetings. Five meeting rooms were dedicated to these activities. Morning and pre-conference activities helped strengthen ties among participants: mountain biking, golf, a plant tour at Marmen Énergie, swimming, running, and volleyball.
At Nergica, capacity building and business networking are part of our service offering. With this in mind, we were pleased to welcome two delegations to the conference: one from Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean and one from Brazil. The Gaspé Peninsula, the cradle of the wind energy industry, provided a concrete setting to showcase our expertise to participants and open the door to new contracts and partnerships.
The Fjord-du-Saguenay RCM entrusted us with organizing the visit of the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean delegation as part of a tour of the Gaspé Peninsula. Thanks to this initiative, 25 representatives from businesses, chambers of commerce, the Fjord-du-Saguenay RCM, and the Domaine-du-Roy RCM took part in the conference, resulting in more than 50 business meetings and 6 industrial tours.
The Cluster of Excellence Nuvéo led the networking initiative between Quebec and Brazil. Thanks to this initiative, six Brazilian organizations participated in the conference, and more than 40 business meetings took place between Quebec and Brazilian companies.
