Nergica has installed Biome Renewables' FeatherEdge® technology on one of the wind turbines at its research site.
Inspired by the design of the owl's silent flight, FeatherEdge® serration technology for wind turbine blades makes their movement even quieter. An innovation based on phase interference.
The aim of the research project
Measure noise reduction following installation of FeatherEdge® serrations, and optimize the wind turbine controller for performance gains while validating the mechanical loads experienced by the turbine.
