The objective of the Opten research program is to develop and validate innovative solutions to optimize the integration of renewable energy sources in microgrids. It is based on a forward-thinking vision that entails bringing together a group of multi-disciplinary researchers and full-scale research infrastructure in order to meet the innovation needs of a network of industrial partners.
Moreover, Opten aims to maximize benefits for education and training and to promote knowledge transfer. It is part of the strategic research plan of the Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles and Nergica.
