A passionate engineer, Charles Godreau has quickly succeeded in making his mark both within the team and within the industry at large. As Program Manager – Research and Innovation, he specializes in wind turbine performance assessments in cold climates and icing detection and protection systems.
With seemingly unwavering poise, the calm and collected Charles exhibits discrete leadership and equally remarkable rigour. Whether analyzing turbine operational data; defining, planning and carrying out research projects; or participating in conferences, Charles excels in a diverse spectrum of spheres of activity.
His numerous contributions include creating an image processing tool for icing detection, generating tools for analyzing operational data, developing methodologies for performance analysis, and managing turbine instrumentation projects in cold climates.
With a Master’s degree in energy and fluid mechanics from the École Polytechnique de Montréal, he represents Canada in the International Energy Agency’s Task 19 working group on wind energy in cold climates.
