Energetic, efficient and passionate, Marilys uses her knowledge of atmospheric physic to shrewdly meet the challenges associated with the production and optimization of wind power in cold climates. She quickly established herself at Nergica by creating an icing and energy loss model, allowing renewable energy production operators to characterize the challenges of cold climate on their assets, and ultimately to minimize its impacts. Marilys manages and contributes scientifically to numerous research projects involving ice modelling, including a major pan-Canadian collaboration studying the impact of climate change on wind power.
